Founder and Lead Advisor:  John E. Howard, CPA, J.D., CFP ^®

John is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resource Planning Group.  He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, but lived his early years in cities around the world as his father was an Officer in the Air Force. John is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee (BS, Business Administration) and earned his Juris Doctorate from the Emory University School of Law.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.  He is a member of the Fee-Only ^® National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Georgia Society of CPAs, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Atlanta Bar Association.  He is also a Charter Member of Kingdom Advisors, a network of Financial Advisors committed to giving financial advice that is grounded in Biblical principles.  John was named one of the Top 100 People in Georgia Banking and Finance by the Atlanta Business Chronicle from 2006 through 2009.  He has also been identified as a FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager since 2008 by Atlanta Magazine.  John is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs, and he currently serves on the board of The Phoenix Society of Atlanta.

How I Live Well :  John and his wife, the former Georgia "Tee Gee" Finklea of Pamplico, South Carolina, have been married for over 29 years and have six children.  Their second child, Jack, is autistic and has inspired a strong interest in families who have children with special needs.  John and Tee Gee are active in the Body of Christ and dedicated to supporting missions at home and around the world.  John enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.

Founder and Business Development:  Georgia F. "Tee Gee" Howard

Tee Gee, originally from Pamplico, South Carolina, is a co-founder and Principal of Resource Planning Group. She serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board of the firm. Tee Gee provides counsel in the areas of marketing, business planning, human resource development, and assists in the financial administration of the business. She is actively involved in the Sandy Springs community, including work with the Phoenix Society and local schools. Tee Gee is a member of The National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Doctor Thomas Finckley Chapter. She is a graduate of Columbia College with a BA in Early Childhood Education and attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina. She provides invaluable support to John and is the mother of six children.

How I Live Well :  Aside from her devotion to her family, Tee Gee loves people and values bringing them together. She is committed to supporting causes for Autism, particularly Spectrum Autism Support Group. She also enjoys supporting those who are experiencing life changes and transitions, and loves missions and serving in the Body of Christ as well as participating in local and national political activities. Her hobbies include interior design, flower arranging, reading, traveling, and mentoring.

Lead Advisor:  Jason D. Lina, MBA, CFA, CFP ^®

Jason, originally from Chapel Hill and Southern Pines, North Carolina, is a Lead Advisor at Resource Planning Group.  He is a CFA charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, with over 12 years of professional experience in the financial services industry.  Jason earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and received his undergraduate degree (BA, History) from Davidson College.

How I Live Well :  Jason and his wife, the former Jennifer Sanborn of Marietta, Georgia, live in Alpharetta with their two children.  They worship at Northpoint Church.  While at Davidson, Jason was captain of the varsity golf team, and he remains an avid golfer today.  He also enjoys playing tennis, coaching his children’s athletic teams, traveling with his friends and family, and is a lifelong North Carolina basketball fan.

Of Counsel:  C. Douglas Davenport, J.D.

Doug, originally from Crossville, Tennessee, serves as a consultant to the Investment Committee on investment strategy at Resource Planning Group.  He is the former President and Chief Investment Officer for Atlanta Investment Council, LLC, an investment advisory firm started by Sir John Templeton, founder of the Templeton Mutual Funds.  He previously managed the Wisdom Fund, where he earned the prestigious 5-Star ranking for his performance for the 10 years ending 12/31/2009.  Doug earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, and he is a cum laude graduate of the John Marshall School of Law.  After college, he served as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps for the U.S. Army.  Doug is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, where he currently serves on the finance committee.  He is also a member of the Fiduciary Law section of the state bar and the Atlanta Bar Association.  Doug is a past member of the University of Tennessee’s President’s Club and Board of Governors, and has served two terms as the President of the Atlanta Chapter of the University Tennessee Alumni Association.  He has also served on the Alumni Council and the Estate Planning Council for the Baylor School.

How I Live Well :  Doug and his wife, the former Claudia McBeath Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Darien, Connecticut, have been married for over 28 years and have two children.  They are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church and Capital City Club.  He and his wife enjoy playing golf and tennis, traveling, and spending time with their children.

Advisor:  John D. Evans III, CFP ^®

John, originally from Tifton, Georgia, is an Advisor at Resource Planning Group.  He is a graduate of North Georgia College and State University (BBA, Finance), and continued his education at the College for Financial Planning for his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.  John's passion is developing and investigating financial planning strategies.  John is a Captain in the Georgia Army National Guard, and serves as the Executive Officer of the 248th Medical Company in Marietta, Georgia.  He has served two tours in Iraq since 2005, and was awarded the Bronze Star for service during his last tour.  John is also an Eagle Scout.

How I Live Well :  John and his wife, the former Lindsey McPherson of Americus, and their son live in Peachtree Corners.  They are members of Simpsonwood United Methodist Church.  He is also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.  John’s interests include traveling, playing golf, technology, hunting, and home projects.

Advisor:  Elizabeth A. Talley

Beth, originally from Marietta, Georgia, and Knoxville, Tennessee, is an Advisor at Resource Planning Group.  She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in Spanish Literature, completing her studies at the University of Valencia in Spain.  She passed the November 2011 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Examination after completing the University of Georgia Terry College of Business CFP ^® Program in 2010.  Beth is currently serving as Secretary on the USTA Atlanta 2011-2012 Executive Board of Directors and on the Planning Committee for the 2012 Georgia Race for Autism.

How I Live Well :  Beth and her husband, Chris Talley of Brunswick, Georgia, live in Smyrna with their Irish Setter.  Beth is an accomplished tennis player, and has been involved in USTA and ALTA for over 20 years.  She participates in national, professional-amateur and charity tournaments.  She is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the G Chapter of PEO.  Beth enjoys reading, arranging flowers, golf and serving in the Body of Christ.

Associate:  Maria C. Wasser

Maria, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, is an Associate at Resource Planning Group.  She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Economics.  o Her specialties at RPG include assistant clients through the probate process when there is a death in the family and trust administration. She also assists the company in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

How I Live Well:   She and her husband, Joe Wasser of Catlin, Illinois, have four children and live in Kennesaw.  She is a leader of Girl Scout Troop 2910 in Marietta, based out of Transfiguration Catholic Church, where she and her family also worship.  In addition to spending time with Joe and the kids, Maria enjoys running and recently completed her first half-marathon.

Associate:  Anne-Rutledge C. Lautares

Anne-Rutledge, originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Florence, South Carolina, is an Associate at Resource Planning Group.  She is a graduate of Clemson University, where she earned a B.S. in Financial Management with an emphasis in Financial Planning and a minor in Accounting.  She has completed the University of Georgia Terry College of Business CFP ^® Program, and plans to sit for the national exam in 2012.

How I Live Well :  Anne-Rutledge lives on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and operates RPG's second office.  She is an active member of the Clemson Alumni Association, and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority while at Clemson.  In her spare time, Anne-Rutledge enjoys running, traveling, and attending Clemson football games.

Associate:  Lisa N. Holmes

Lisa, originally from Plantation, Florida, is an Associate at Resource Planning Group, and also serves as Executive Assistant to John Howard.  Her responsibilities include client services and account administration.  She attended Florida State University and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Communications.  Lisa has over nine years of experience in the field of finance, most recently as a Relationship Manager with a Florida-based investment management firm.

How I Live Well :  Lisa and her husband, Brad Holmes of Cocoa Beach, Florida, live in Buckhead with their three children.  They are active members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and dedicated participants in the Northside Youth Organization (NYO) and the Atlanta Ballet.  Lisa's other hobbies and interests include traveling, reading, interior design, and spending time with family.

Intern:  Marjorie Uys

Marjorie, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, and Gainesville, Georgia, works as an Intern at Resource Planning Group.  She is currently a student at Brenau University and will graduate in May 2012 with a B.B.A. in Accounting.  Marjorie is an active member and past President of the Brenau Student Ambassadors and the Student Alumni Council.  She currently serves as Brenau's International Student Hostess and is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Order of Omega, and Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

How I Live Well :  Marjorie enjoys running, sightseeing, and baking. She also volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) as an income tax preparer in the Gainesville community.
